Heavy Duty Service Technician

About the role...

We are looking for a Full-Time (Part-Time considered for the right applicant) Red Seal Heavy Duty Service Technician who will contribute to the growth of Top Down Enterprises Inc. through their commitment to our core values: VALUE. INTEGRITY. SERVICE.

This position is comprised of both shop and field work and related duties, and is based from Kamloops, BC (occasional travel is required).

The Heavy Duty Service Technician is responsible for repairing mobile equipment, component rebuilds, diagnostics and troubleshooting on various makes of heavy equipment in a safe, efficient manner. As the dealer for TimberMAX, Nisula, and Seppi Mulching Equipment products, the Heavy Duty Service Technician will gain specialized knowledge in a niche-product area.

Applicant Requirements...

  • Red-Seal Journeyman Heavy-Duty Technician [Equipment] Certification
  • Minimum valid Class 5 provincial drivers license (current drivers abstract is required)
  • Experience servicing heavy equipment (dealership experience is an asset)
  • Valid First Aid, TDG, and Forklift Certificates are recommended
  • Candidates must be ready to work in the province of BC

  • Capability to work independently, with minimal supervision, work as part of a team, and follow directions
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and the aptitude to foster strong customer relationships
  • Competency in the use of technology for daily administration and equipment troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair
  • Experience working on forestry and construction equipment
  • Strong technical and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain clean work areas [company vehicles] that are free of safety hazards on a continuous basis
  • Interest in servicing and promoting the companies product lines
  • Willingness to perform work in the shop and field, and to travel within our sales region (British Columbia and Western Alberta)
  • Possess a driven personality with the propensity to continue to learn and grow with Top Down Enterprises Inc.
